In the summer of 1992, Ray Hesano opened the doors of Premier Pet Supply with a simple vision: to bring the same level of cleanliness, quality, and exceptional service he knew from the grocery industry to the world of pets and their families.

From day one, Premier Pet Supply set out to offer only the best — wholesome foods, healthy treats, and trusted supplements — quickly becoming a beloved staple in the Beverly Hills community.

Two years later, in 1994, Ray’s nephew, Mike Palmer, joined the business full-time while finishing his business degree. Upon graduating, Mike became Ray’s partner and soon the familiar face of Premier Pet Supply. His dedication extended beyond the store walls, as he built lasting connections with local groups, schools, and community events — embodying the family-first philosophy that still defines Premier today.

As Premier grew, so did its reach. In 2016, the brand expanded into Rochester Hills, Livonia, and Novi, partnering with Jeff, Steve, and Brandon — all seasoned pet industry professionals who began their journey at the original Beverly Hills location. Over the years, that growth has continued, and today Premier Pet Supply proudly serves metro Detroit with 13 thriving locations.
